The act of seeing is the act of recognizing objects in the form and color of the objects that light transmits through the retina. The basis of the work begins from the fact that things seen and perceived by one another may not be the same as those seen and recognized by others. Irregular paint patterns, sprayed or spilled on the screen, flow freely like a stream of consciousness. The shapes created by the mixture of consciousness and unconsciousness, control and neglect, represent the inner flow, not the drawing of something visible.
Rice fields and gardens, the product of culture made by people, were a natural landscape from my childhood. They carry the traces of people who passed through. Mountains and forests, on the other hand, are spaces that are opposed to man-made spaces, which have not been touched by humans. Humans have made their way in such nature and have made paddy fields over the years by reclaiming parts of forests and mountains as they come and go frequently. The image created by the paddy field is not only a realistic landscape but also a medium leading to an ideal world with mystique, vitality and flexibility. The concrete, abstract image of the place in my head, combined with my senses, creates a new reality. Thus, I notice the space between free imagination and the real world unfolding before me. The image created by the paddy field is a medium that leads to an ideal world with mystery, vitality, and flexibility.
I am interested in starting from concrete landscapes and transforming them to create more unique landscapes. It is different from the representation of a particular place or the scenery shown by the existing landscape. This is a new landscape created by transforming, omitting and processing the information while reproducing the concrete object. It is reminiscent of the world, words and ideas through landscapes. The image can be recognized as the image itself, and the image can be associated with the real world.
